SJT Venlo BV diesel surcharge

At SJT Venlo BV, we process fluctuations in diesel prices in a fair and transparent manner through a diesel surcharge.

This surcharge is based on a clear indexation method, so that our rates remain flexible and in line with the market. This provides predictability for our customers and ensures that we can consistently deliver high-quality logistics services. This is calculated on a monthly basis.

How is our diesel indexation being calculated?

Our diesel surcharge is calculated using the official EC (European Commission) Weekly Oil Bulletin. With a base price of €1.58893 (incl. VAT), any deviation of €0.04 will lead to a 1% adjustment in the rates. The published diesel price on the third Monday of each month is leading for the surcharge in the following month. This ensures an accurate and up-to-date adjustment that matches market conditions.

Insight and transparency

The diesel surcharge is clearly specified on both quotations and invoices, so that customers always have full insight into the calculation. In addition, current developments can be easily followed via the official website of the European Commission. Thanks to this approach, we offer not only transparency, but also trust and stability in our cooperation, regardless of fluctuations in the fuel market. Our customers receive a monthly newsletter with the developments of the diesel index.
